Ms. Xi has spent 22 years in legal and business management, with strong expertise in art law, intellectual property and cross-border investment, as well as private client, overseas compliance. Prior to Jingtian & Gongcheng, Ms. Xi was General Counsel, Asia Pacific, consecutively for GE Intelligent Platforms and Ashland Inc., Chief Compliance for Kering Asia and Counsel for Michelin.
In art law, Ms. Xi is experienced in advising clients on art work creation, art performance, art business, transactions, collection, investment, art financing, art IP licensing as well as art-related charity and pro bono programs. In private client field, Ms. Xi is proficient in providing clients with “total solutions”, which comprises “separation between the family assets vs. corporate assets”, “wealth succession and international tax planning”, “tax resident status management”, “family relationships management”, “formation and management of family office, family trust and family foundation” and“art as alternative investment”. Besides, Ms. Xi is also good at advising clients in respect of private museums, galleries, as well as art-related charity and pro bono programs.
Ms. Xi is Officer for IBA ArtLaw Committee and Member of Fondation pour le droit de l’art.
Ms. Xi is the author of “Art Law – China Chapter”, which was published in 2018 in London, U.K., and author of “Trademark Law – China”, which will be published in London in Sept. 2019.
